Walt & Tina Wilkins to Perform at Bosque Museum Spring Benefit - June 18

The Bosque Museum is excited to welcome Walt and Tina Wilkens to perform at the Spring Benefit on June 18 at 6:30pm at Indian Hills Ranch. Walt and Tina Wilkins are a married country music duo who enjoy performing for various causes, charities, and benefits. They have released an album in 2015 titled Be Mine and are also featured on other albums such as: Deep In Heart - Big Songs For the Little Texans Everywhere performing the song “Buffalo Gals” along with other artists such as Pat Green, Aaron Watson, and Josh Abbott, and on the album, Voices of a Grateful Nation, Vol. 2 with the song “Soldiers in the Alley”.

Walt Wilkins, songwriter, producer, singer, guitar player, and artist, has been part of the Texas Music chart since its inception. Wilkins spent a decade in the Country Music business in Nashville producing some well-known songs that include “Seven Hillsides” by Ricky Skaggs. This song is on a record that won a Grammy for Best Southern, Country or Bluegrass Gospel Album. His work with Pat Green helped establish his career in Texas country music. Wilkins has since been compared to Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Kevin Welch, and John Steinbeck. The comparison that most flatters Walt is to John Steinbeck, stating:

“I have written poetry since I was in grade school, and songs for over twenty years now. It means an awful lot to be mentioned in the same sentence as someone with as much gravity as Steinbeck”.

After working in Los Angeles and Nashville, Tina Mitchell Wilkins, continued to grow in her new home of Texas as an artist as well as a songwriter. In addition to songs published with her husband, she also has three albums titled Espiritu, Morning Glory, and Moonflowers.

We hope you can join us for this special event. Reservations for this event are $75 per person. Please reserve your spot by June 11.
